West Somerset
West Somerset Railway, Minehead and Dunster: We travel to Bishops Lydeard for a scenic train ride on the West Somerset Railway, 23 miles through the Quantock Hills to Minehead. Our coach meets us to take us to lovely Dunster, with its imposing castle.
Cheddar & Wells
We visit spectacular Cheddar Gorge, a magical place where we include admission to Gough's Cave. We continue to Wells, England's smallest city. Wander the medieval streets and marvel at the Cathedral and Bishops Palace.
Clevedon
Clevedon & Tyntesfield: Clevedon is a beautiful Victorian seaside town overlooking the Severn Estuary, with its pier, the only Grade 1 listed pier in England. Tyntesfield, owned by the National Trust, is a spectacular Victorian Gothic Revival House with garden and parkland.
Royal Grosvenor Hotel, Weston Super Mare ***
Well located on the seafront, close to the pier. All rooms have TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel has a restaurant, lounge, bar, lift and a terrace overlooking the lawns, seafront and pier.
