Wentworth Woodhouse and Garden Centre with Lunch                                        Thursday 15th August

We enjoy a tour of Wentworth Woodhouse, one of the largest houses in Europe that was once the home of the Fitzwilliam family. It stands in 87 acres of gardens and pleasure grounds and the walled kitchen gardens are now the site of the Wentworth Garden Centre, set within 16 acres and inluding bear pit, statuary, fallow deer, maze, rock and Italianate gardens, ponds, pools, fountains and more. These romantic gardens have been granted RHS Partner Garden status and a real labour of love and delight to explore. The garden centre itself stocks quality plants and garden sundries, an unparralleled range of unusual and original homewares and a small family farm. we include lunch.
