We wanted to celebrate Whittles’ centenary year in style, but also offer tours relevant to the Whittle family’s background. We managed to catch up with Ron Whittle to talk about the early days of touring with Go Whittle. The first ever Whittles continental tour was to Paris, driven by Ron himself. Those were pioneering days and not without challenges. Not so here though, as we’ve arranged a 5 star hotel for this special break and excursions designed to give you a flavour of the ‘City of Light’.

Excursion 1
Paris River Seine Montparnasse Tower. Today we get to know Paris on a morning boat cruise in the River Seine, followed by an afternoon at leisure. This is followed by an evening visit to the Observation Deck of Montparnasse Tower, with a glass of Champagne on arrival to toast the centenary year of Whittles. Whilst the Eiffel Tower is probably the city's most famous icon, a trip to the top of Montparnasse Tower is highly recommended as if affords unparalleled views of both the Eiffel Tower and many other landmarks.
Excursion 2
Montmartre Guided Tour. Today begins with a walking tour of Montmarte, part of the Right Bank and known for its artistic history. Next stop is the Montmartre Funicular. We are taken quickly and safely to the top of the well known steps up to the Sacre Coeur. Opened in 1990, it takes less than 2 minutes, saving us precious time! We have the chance to admire this striking Basillica before finding a nice spot for a leisurely lunch and an afternoon exploring at leisure.

This upscale hotel offers spacious designer rooms. Its restaurant, Quinte&Sens, has an open kitchen. You can also enjoy the bar, fitness centre, wifi and a relatively quiet haven following the day’s sightseeing. Rooms are spacious, offering wifi, TV, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, iron and safe. The hotel has a lift.
