The largest market in the Derbyshire Dales, Bakewell stall market occupies two sites and has over 160 regular stalls. The current day market has a wide variety of good including clothes, bed linen, shoes, fruit & veg, freshly baked bread, flowers, jewellery, wool, toys and hot food stands. Everything for the intrepid shopper. Bakewell is idyllically situated on the banks of the river Wye, the biggest town in the Peak District National Park's mellow stone buildings, medieval five-arched stone bridge and quaint courtyards are a magnet for painters, photographers and sightseers alike. WE also visit Buxton, home of Buxton Water, with Stunning ornamental gardens and world-famous Georgian and Victorian architecture.
