Sun 11 Apr 2021: A Day Trip to Highclere Castle featuring the Egyptian Exhibition & Gardens with Whittles Coaches
Book Now
Home to 'Downton Abbey', Highclere Castle is a Grade I listed country house built in 1679 with a rich history. During the First World War, Highclere Castle was converted into a hospital for wounded soldiers and the Second World War saw it be the home of evacuated children from London. Explore the 250 to 300 rooms in the Castle, with some familiar favourites from the hit series 'Downton Abbey'. You will see some of the bedrooms after which you will follow the stairs down to the cellars and old staff quarters where you will find the Egyptian Exhibition, celebrating the 5th Earl of Carnarvon's discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamun.
Adults: £44
