Cromford Mills and Cruise Day Excursion
Cromford Mills is nestled in the Derbyshire Dales, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is the home to Sir Richard Arkwrights first mill complex and birthplace of the modern factory system, built in 1771. Explore how the infamous site changed the world we live in today. We enjoy a guided tour where the guide takes you back in time to when Sir Richard Arkwright pioneered the worlds first successful water powered cotton spinning mill and visit the visitor centre and the Arkwright Experience. We also include a delightful 2 hour cruise from Cromford Wharf, to Leawood Pumphouse and back along the Cromford Canal with commentary.
