Join us as we visit the historical and ceremonial country of Wiltshire, where the landscape is amoung some of the best in Britain. Our base is Chippenham, home to 278 listed buildings, nestled on the banks of the River Avon.

Excursion 1
Devizes, Caen Hill Locks and Salisbury. Todays excursion takes us to Devizes and the famous Caen Hill Locks, a staircase of 16 locks on the Kennet and Avon Canal. We continue across Salisbury Plain, past historic Stonehenge to Amesbury and the cathedral city of Salisbury for free time.
Excursion 2
Corsham, Bradford on Avon and Lacock. Corsham is quintessentially English, staring in Poldark and home to roaming peacocks. We continue to Bradford on Avon, renowned for its ancient bridge crossing the river with original 13th century arches. we finish in the time warp village of Lacock.
Excursion 3
Bowood House and Marlborough. Bowood House hosts a wealth of art and antiques, with many historical treasures including Napoleon's death mask and Queen Victoria's wedding chair. We finish the afternoon in Marlborough.
Excursion 4
Steam Museum of Great Western Railway. On our homeward journey we visit the superb Steam, the Museum of the Great Western Railway.
Your Hotel Best Western Plus Angel Hotel, Chippenham
Situated in the centre of town, all rooms have TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee facilities. There is a restaurant, bar and leisure facilities including indoor pool and gym. There is no lift but there are some ground floors and the remaining rooms are on two floors.
