Excursion 1
Topsham, River Exe Cruise and Avocet Line. We enjoy acruise from Topsham Quay on the River Exe, to Exmouth, where there is free time to explore. We return to Topsham by train on the Avocet line, a route which follows the Exe Estuary, named because of the resident Oied Avocets.
Excursion 2
Seaton Tramway and Tiverton Horse Drawn Boat. We enjoy a morning return journey on the Seaton Tramway. Later we enjoy a horse drawn barge trip along the Grand Western Canal.
Excursion 3
West Somerset railway. We travel to Bishops Lydiard to board the train from the journey to Minehaed, through the Quantock Hills and along the coast. Enjoy free time to Minehead before the return train journey back to Bisphops Lydiard.
Excursion 4
Hestercombe Gardens. On our return journey we visit Hestercombe Gardens, designed to reflect three generations of Somerset gardens, with a Georgian Landscape Garden, Victorian Shrubbery and Edwardian Formal Gardens.
Your Hotel Holiday Inn Taunton
Located over just a mile from Taunton town centre, with well kept gardens. All rooms have TV and hospitality tray. There is a restaurant, bar, lift and leisure facilities include indoor pool, sauna and Jacuzzi.
