We first visit Painswick, "Queen of the Cotswolds". Built from mellow Cotswold stone, wander around its quiant streets with a variety of small shops and galleries. We continue to Malmesbury on the edge of the south eastern Cotswolds, with its stunning 12th century Abbey, Market Cross and free Athelston Museum. We finish the day at Chavenage House, a beautiful Elizabethan manor, known as "Trenwith" the Poldark pile. It has been used for many other TV programmes, including the House of Elliot and Lark Rise to Candleford. We include afternoon tea.
