Nicknamed "Cathedral of the Canals", not only does the Anderton Boat Lift still do the job it was designed to do of lifting boats and barges %0 feet from the River weaver, to the Trent and Mersey Canal, but it does it with the most ingenious and endearing character of ny structure of the canal system. We include a boat trip on Edwin Clark, the glass sided boat which includes a lift trip and a cruise along the River Weaver, with cream tea.
