Purbeck Pearls: The Swanage Railway and Swanage Day Excursion
We travel to Dorset’s award winning standard gauge preserved railway, where we board our train to enjoy a leisurely ride of six miles through the beautiful Isle of Purbeck, passing the magnificent ruins of Corfe Castle and down to the sea at Swanage Bay, where you will get a few free hours to explore. Swanage has a gently shelving sandy beach, Victorian pier, interesting shops, tea rooms and small museum.
