Rye was once a medieval citadel, one of the original Cinque Ports. Today you can explore the cobbled streets lines with historic buildings and the Ypres Tower. Great Dixter was the family home of gardener and gardening writer Christopher Lloyd, and now a historic house, garden and place of pilgrimage for horticulturalists across the world.
